Question:

How can one read news offline?

Solution:

As long as someone does not get from a news server a right news feed, one can use the programme suck.

There is a configuration file in it, in which one can enter the desired news groups, and the programme behaves then like a news client, that simply reads all news articles. One can declare this simply locally to a news system, that just does not get any "official" news feed.

Therefore, the condition for this is that one has to set himself locally a news server.
