Symptom:

xvidtune reports that the VidMode extension 0.5 is missing.

Cause:

Currently xvidtune only runs with the VidMode extension 0.5, that certainly is included in the beta servers, but not in the normal ones (version 0.4).

Solution:

If you have installed a release server and want to use xvidtune, then you should

install the corresponding beta server (with YaST),
carry out the fine adjustment
and then install again the release server (uninstall beta server).
