The keyboard layout under S.u.S.E. Linux has the following extensions in opposition to a "bare" XFree86 system:
Ctrl key is defined as multikey.
With it, every single sign with a tilde can be produced (e.g. in
Emacs).
Windows keys are set as
Mod4 on a Microsoft compatible keyboard and can be used
under the S.u.S.E. standard fvwm configuration along with the
Tab key to change from one desktop window into another one
(analogue to MS Windows Alt-Tab).
Start key is set as Mod5 on a Microsoft
compatible keyboard and can be used under the S.u.S.E. standard fvwm
configuration along with the right Shift key to pop up the
window menus (sequence Start key, stop, then right
Shift key.
/usr/X11R6/lib/X11/Xmodmapand are installed during the X Window system start.
