Graphics card ATI Mach64 RagePro

XFree86: Versions since 3.3.1

Project:

You try to use the Mach64 server (series "x", package "xmach64") with your ATI Mach64 RagePro. The server does not recognize your card autmoatically.

How to proceed:

Please edit /etc/XF86Config (you have to be user root) and search for: 

        Section "device"
           Identifier  .....
           VendorName  .....
           BoardName   .....

Now insert the following two lines below: 

           ChipId 0x4754
           ChipRev 0x01

Now you should be able to start the Mach64 server by entering startx.
