When you call in the open look surface the menu option Menu
Utilities/Save Workspace, you get something like the following message:
Save Workspace could not be performed because the owplaces (1) command
failed
Version: April 95
If one calls the command owplaces manually, the
following error message appears:
xtoolplaces: Can't find library //libX11.so.3
libX11.so.3 is in the directory /usr/X11R6/lib.
xtoolplaces looks however for it in either of the directories
/, /lib or /usr/lib. A
corresponding link solves the problem:
As root: ln -s /usr/X11R6/lib/libX11.so.3
/usr/lib/libX11.so.3
Version: November 95
The programme xtoolplaces is not contained on the November
'95 CD, since this programme was not able to run.
Meanwhile we have a version that works in ftp:ftp.suse.de//pub/November95/xtoolplaces or in the mailbox.
