xfig: Segfault with eps files

S.u.S.E. Linux 4.2

Xfig has problems with imported graphics under a color depth bigger than 8. Especially with the pcx256 graphics produced by gps from eps files.

Remedy: one starts xfig with the option -mono or the X server with only 8 bit color depth :-(((
