So, for example, no user ID bin is
installed by default. Some links, which either you
are used to, or some programmes that you want to install
manually suppose them as given, are not available either.
Example:
/usr/X11 -> /usr/X11R6
/usr/X386 -> /usr/X11R6
/usr/lib/X11 -> /usr/X11R6/lib
The reason why we do not install these links by default
is to design the system clearly and to orientate us to the
file system standard.
The software on the S.u.S.E. CD is (hopefully) completely adjusted to this. If you want to use another software, install the packet
eazy, Serie zc
These ones and more links, as well as the user bin, are then
installed.
