This disk is created the same way as the boot- and
installdisk. You need a bootdisk and the rescue-disk.
Example:
Q:\dosutils\rawrite.exe, Image:
Q:\disks\rescue, where Q: is the CDROM drive. dd if=/cdrom/disks/rescue of=/dev/fd0, /cdrom. root-disk have the
rescue-disk loaded into the ramdisk.
When this system has been booted, you will be able to check the partition and mount it, e.g. with the command
e2fsck -p /dev/sda1 mount -t ext2 /dev/sda1 /mntIf you want to obtain a list of existing partitions, use the
fdisk -lcommand.
The vi is available as an editor.
