sendfax crashes at the start with Coredump

This concerns only S.u.S.E. Linux 4.2, 1st edition. Sendfax version: 099-Apr05.

The error only appears when one calls sendfax with 

        sendfax -5
, or when the option 
        debug 5
is entered in the file sendfax.config.
