Log files and "cron"

SuSE Linux: Versions since 5.3

Request:

A lot of programs in the Linux system create log files. These files should not grow beyond a given size.

Procedure:

Starting with S.u.S.E. Linux 5.3 all log files that need to be checked are stored in the file /etc/logfiles. The necessary settings can be specified there.
