How to use ISDN with the DOS emulator?

It is recommended to use DOS tools for some services (e.g. Fido):

Besides lfidopoint crosspoint runs without any problems under Linux and ISDN.

What you need to do?

  1. Well, firste install i4l for using ISDN under Linux at all.
  2. Installt dosemu
  3. Install Crosspoint. Anyway, I do not have any more DOS partitions. I have left it on an ext2 format. The serial port that you use is just serial2 ttyI0 (e.g.).
  4. After launching the emulator by entering dos start fossil.com or enter the command into your autoexec.bat
  5. Start Crosspoint. In Cfg->Modem you may enter e.g. COM2. Well, on the contrary to the DOS ISDN setup you do not need to activate the Fossil driver. Linux manages this itself.

You neither need CAPI nor CFos for XP under the DOS emulator under Linux.

Tested with S.u.S.E. 4.4.1
