Using the Adaptec 1502

Symptom:

When trying to access the Adaptec 1502 adapter using the command modprobe aha152x you get a message like

lib/modules/X.X.XX/scsi/aha152x.o: init_module: Device or resource busy 

Cause:

The Adaptec 1502 contains the AIC-6360, but uses an unusual I/O adress. The module aha152x only tests 0x340/0x140 by default.

Solution:

Specify the exact parameters when calling modprobe :

modprobe aha152x aha152x=0x140,10,7,1,1
