Sending faxes from within Applixware using SuSEFax

In order to use the spooling mechanism of SuSEFax, the program, from which you would like to print, must print into a certain file There is a package for this purpose named faxprint. The original solution only ran in conjunction with lprold. Starting with S.u.S.E. Linux 5.2 the package is available. You can also download the package from our ftp server :

ftp://ftp.suse.com/pub/suse_update/suse51/n1

If you want to print e.g. from Applix Words after the installation of the package, choose fax for the printing device and set class to Postscript. That's it!..:)

Well, in SuSEFax you have to set the spoolfile to /tmp/fax_loginname.ps. In detail : If the user "novice" logs in it is necessary to specify /tmp/fax_novice.ps as a spoolfile in SuSEFax.
