Applixware and the Compose key

Applix: Version 4.3, 4.3.5, 4.3.7, 4.4.1

Request:

You want to use the Compose key within Applixware in order to e.g. create special characters with an accent. However Applixware ignores the Compose key.

Procedure:

First the variable AX_LOCAL_COMPOSE must be set, like it is explained in the Applixware System Administration manual. 

export AX_LOCAL_COMPOSE=yes
After a restart of Applixware it is able to recognize the Compose key. If this key doesn't create the value Multi_key, AX_LOCAL_COMPOSE can be used to specify the decimal value of that key.

In any case please consult the Applix System Administration manual.
