Adabas D: SAVE/RESTORE and tapes

Adabas D: Version 6.1

Symptom:

Adabas D is not able to read in data stored on a tape using xcontrol and the command save data .

Cause:

The backup was made on a non-rewinding device (e.g. /dev/nst0) while Adabas D needs this data on a rewinding device (e.g. /dev/st0).

Solution:

Use the rewinding device.
