The following message might appear at booting time:
SCSI: aborting command due to timeout: pid X scsi0, channel 0,
id X, lun 0, 0x00 00 00 00 00
aic7xxx: (abort_reset) scb state 0x01, Data-Out phase, SCSISIGI = 0x0
Or the following one appears while running the system:
scsi0 aborting command due to time out. scsi0: Target 0, channel A, now synchronous at 10.0 MHz, offset 15In both cases the consequence is that the system freezes during the required filesystem check.
If the translation mode (for big DOS partitions) is active in BIOS, the kernel parameter
aic7xxx=extendedmust be given.
