Answer:

Basically the answer is you can't.  Both these modems use a properitary
technology to save costs by reducing the number of chips on the card and
replacing them with Windows device drivers (a VXD in the case of the
WinModem).

Technically a Linux driver could be written to make the modem work, but
I've heard that US Robotics isn't willing to release the necessary
information.  Without that documentation writing a driver would be very
difficult, and considering the costs (eating CPU processes) probably not
worth it.

Many people, including myself recommend you stay away from these types of
modems and purchase a modem with all of the chips.  For more inforation
