Thanks for downloading tux!

I'll try to keep this short, so here goes:

1. What is it?
Penguin is a little perl script that calculates a system reliability
number. The formula is (# of reboots)/(current uptime).
Tim Hollebeek (tim@franck.princeton.edu) gave me the inspiration for it.

2. Installing it.

The script can go wherever you want. I put it in /usr/local/bin.

Somewhere (wherever you feel comfortable) in your /etc/rc.d/... files
put a call to tux with a -r flag. tux -r tells it to increment the
reboot count. That count by default is stored in /etc/tux.data
though you're more than welcome to change it.

Run tux on the command line. You'll get a response something like
    this:

    1.26185661432742 decitux

As your system stays up longer the number will keep getting smaller.
