Changes from 1.2.2:

Changes from 1.2.1:
This version includes a statical linked executable (ELF),
so people without compiler, or people with compile problems (RedHat?)
can run the executable.

Changes from 1.2.0:
Better getting rid of the color sequences in the synthesizer text.
LF in manpages

Changes from version 1.1.0:
Added some simple speech.
You will need the program rsynth installed, and a sound card.
rsynth is available from:
ftp sunsite.unc.edu/pub/Linux/apps/sound/speech/rsynth-2.0.tgz
You can switch on speech by typing /speech on
switch it off with /speech off
You may have to fiddle with the rsynth (is has the 'say' program)
settings, maybe set the speed higher, if the channel is busy.
Server messages are not spoken, and please understand this is only a
first attempt, and basically an experiment.
It allows you to do something on a different screen while listening to
the channel.
Rsynth does require a lot of training to understand its output, and it
does not do any justice to male / female, as it has no clue as to the
identity of the sender.
For the same reason (almost), it cannot properly say the nicks.
That and my programming make it really an experiment.
You can specify a different synthesizer with arguments by typing:
/speech_command
That will show you the current setting, and allow you to change it.
