                          version 0.8

                     1.2.13 kernel patches

Hi !

So, Everyone is looking for 1.2.13 kernel patches for PC-Speaker sound
driver ? You found none ? So do I.

But ... Your search is over ! I have prepared this patch by patching
clean 1.2.1 tree with PCSND patches prepared by Karel (? Karel Who ?
sorry - there is no full name in the readme) (karel@icce.rug.nl).
Then I've patched it up to the 1.2.13 level and diff-ed it with the
clean 1.2.13 tree (carefully watching rejections). It works for me,
I hope it will work for You too.

There are only patches in this archive. You have to get sound-kit
somewhere else (There is one in the Karel pcsnddrv kit - sorry I do not
remember the name. It was on the SunSite in system/sound (?) - I think).

As for applying this. Just run:

	zcat pcsnd-1.2.13.diff.gz|patch -p0

In the /usr/src directory (remember to have proper linux symbolic link,
it patches tree under linux directory). Then configure and compile the
kernel as usual. When configuring say no to sound driver configuration
(
Sound card support - Y
PC-Speaker and DAC driver support - Y
Full version of the sound driver - N
Disable sound driver - Y
)

Now You are ready to go ! Have fun !

PS: I have nothing to do with the Sound Driver package itself.
I just prepared the patch.

Pawel.
