README for ./quoted/. directory

These files are quoted "with kind permission of" their
authors, as illustration of the docs that are available for
Linux, particularly those needed to install Linux, to get at
the proper ones! You shoud of course refer to the original
	sources for the latest versions.

ide-cd: /usr/src/linux/documentation/cdrom

There are docs about other cdrom types,
but EIDE is the most common.

ide.txt: /usr/src/linux/documentation/

Configuring the (E)IDE controllers for upto 8 drives, etc
Problems with buggy RX1000 and CMD-640 chipsets

Configure.help: /usr/src/linux/Documentation

This is the online-help file for the kernel
configure utility. It lists lots of devices and
options you may set when configuring a kernel
(2.0.30) I.E a quick grep for your devices keywords
might get results! NB many paragraphs are a bit
older than the code, several things are labelled as
"NEW", when really they have been quite stable for a
	long time.

README-isapnp.gz: /usr/doc/isapnptools/README.gz

You need to locate the rest of the package, but this README
indicates what isapnp is about, and links to web sites.
(peeking identifying and poking IO ports to make PNP work
and then getting the kernel adjusted AFTER they've been set)
