  Mapil mailer integration
  Version 0.2.1

Inside each Mapil distribution is code to integrate Mapil into MH,
exmh, and emacs mailers. In these environments, integration seems
quite adequate, allowing for automatic encryption or signing of
outgoing messages, and decryption or verification of incoming messages
  with a simple command.

There is also a script that lets mapil process messages in standard
Berkley format mailbox folders. Many (most?) mailers use this format,
including Pine, so it is now possible to use mapil to decrypt messages
no matter what mailer you are using.

Finally, I have recently written a utility called Pypost that can be
used with Mapil to transparently encrypt or sign outgoing messages
with almost any mailer, including Pine, Netscape, and MH. Pypost is a
general purpose utility that can be used to process messages with
applications other than mapil. For instructions, see the Pypost home
  page <http://www-leland.stanford.edu/~bescoto/pypost>.
