                         ***  I L O G  ***
             THE ULTIMATE AMATEUR RADIO LOGBOOK SYSTEM
             =========================================

INSTALLATION:
=============

     The installation procedure is very simple. You just have to
make a new directory on Your hard disk and copy all the files from
the distribution diskette onto it. You should have about 370
bytes/QSO free space on the disk. This means about 3.7 Mbytes for
every 10000 QSO's. After copying all the files onto the designated
directory, You should probably add a new line or edit Your CONFIG
.SYS file if there is no FILES statement defined or it is defined
for less then 25.

FILES=25

You have also to add to Your AUTOEXEC.BAT file a new line:

SET CLIPPER=F025

If You have the EMM386.EXE device driver in Your CONFIG.SYS file
installed with the NOEMS or AUTO switch, You have to use the RAM
switch instead to enable the program to use the Expanded memory in
Your computer. Otherwise if You don't want to change the switch
with the EMM386 device driver You may disable Your program to use
the Expanded memory by replacing the previously mentioned line in
the AUTOEXEC.BAT file with:

SET CLIPPER=F025;E000

     Reset Your computer, go into Your ILOG directory and start
the program. If You are running the program on a system with a
color display card but on a black-and-white monitor, You should
invoke the program with ILOG/b. If You have a color display card,
ILOG or ILOG/c will always unconditionally start the program in
color.
     While You are using this program, never forget the general
rule for working with databases: make backups of the databases
(the .DBF files) regularly! Make always at the same time a backup
of the configuration file (ILOG.MEM), too!
     At the very first time You started the program, go to the
UTILITIES menu and configure Your program first.
