Component Create 3.0A Quick Start
---------------------------------

I hope you'll enjoy using Component Create 3.0, a free
tool for designing and building custom Delphi VCL
components with point-and-click convenience.

Component Create was formerly a commercially-sold tool.
It was well-received and well-reviewed in its heyday, from
1995-1997, but I have moved on to other things. Although
copyrighted, it is freely available at the Component Create
home page, http://www.compcreate.com.

I will try to answer questions within reason; just e-mail
me via the home page. If there is enough demand, I may add
features or post the source code.

INSTALLATION

To install Component Create, run Setup.exe in this archive.
The installer copies the files to your target directory and puts
Component Create on the Tools menu in Delphi. You can also load
component definition (.CD) files into Component Create by
double-clicking on them in Windows.

C++Builder note: If you are using C++Builder, you can have the
installer put the Windows 95/NT edition of Component Create on
the Tools menu of C++Builder. (You will see a check box on the
installer dialog for that purpose.) You can then use Component
Create to build VCL components that can be compiled and used
in C++Builder, although they are written in Object Pascal.
