install (quick and easy):
unzip everything, including subdirectories into any directory.

compiling and running:
as usual in delphi, open the project then:
  - build everything or
  - smash F9

notes:

description of files and their uses:
arcstruc.txt - the archive structure
notes.txt - in case you don't understand anything or can't figure out why resouce behaves like that, refer to this file.
bus.txt - bugs i probably have not fixed yet.

the rest of the pas files/units/forms, just open and see the description at the top of each file.

the following documents are in word 97 format, they are in the manuals directory:

system doc.doc -
system documentation. about the archiver, how it works and organisation of the classes. may be quite outdated. the major change in version 2.1 is the sadakane suffix sort, which is much more efficient than the one described in the doc. this doc was written for the project, and as such has a lot of credits, names and references which you may not understand. but for completeness and originality's sake, i left them all in.

users guide.doc -
the user's guide. complete with screen captures and also somewhat outdated.
