WAV Player V1.11 by John Garner (jmg7@ukc.ac.uk), December 1995

"WAVPlay" is a BASIC program to implement the code "WAVPlay.c",
which attempts to play via the sample mode of the AY-3-8912 (or 8910)
sound chip, .wav sample files. It can cope with only 8 bit mono
at present but should recognise stereo and (maybe) attempt to play
it. A new improved version (should be 1.2) will be released after
Christmas '95 with full stereo 8/16 bit playing hopefully. The speed
it can play at will obviously depend on the type of sample, but
at the moment it can play up to about 40kHz mono samples.

The samples are output in 4-bits, and there is plenty of error checking.
In fact you will have to find a sample that has a standard header with
information on speed, type, etc (1st 4 letters of file are "RIFF" then
a "WAVE" somewhere also.

I am willing to supply the assembler source code to anyone who is
interested, in ascii / tornado assembler (tornado is on ftp too)
on +D / MS-DOS disk / email / uuencoded (for tornado).
