Introduction
------------
Most digital cameras generate filenames like IMG001.jpg, IMG002.jpg, and so on. This isn't useful, because the filenames don't describe anything, and users often run into problems with duplicate filenames when they transfer images to their computer. Naming Files Using DateTime Stamp is designed to rename a group of files using their date/time stamp, with each filename made up of the date and time of file creation? For example, 20030730-143222.JPG or 20030730143222.JPG.

For those who have more than 1 digital camera, the problem of duplicate files will be very likely. For example, if you have 2 cameras, camera #1 took 2 pictures IMG001.jpg and IMG002.jpg, camera #2 also took 2 pictures IMG001.jpg and IMG002.jpg. When the time comes to transfer these 4 pictures to the computer, you will have a problem with files duplication since Windows cannot have 2 different files having the same file name sitting in the same folder.

This program was developed mainly for users with one or more digital cameras who want to archive and access their photos in chronological order. This would be helpful for instances like playing a slideshow of the file in ascending or descending sequence, not in some random fashion because of the different file names from different sources or cameras.

The program can also be used to update the creation, last accessed, and last write date/time of files.
