Introduction:
EEToolkit is a package designed for electrical engineers and
electronics hobbyists. It is meant to be a "launch pad" for
	engineering applications and reference material.

	The current version includes:

		o Ohm 4-band version 2.0
		o Ohm 5-band version 1.0
		o Cap version 2.0
		o Doodle version 1.0

We have updated our Ohm and Cap calculator applications and
wrapped them into the new EEToolkit.

Usage:
EEToolkit is extremely simple to use. Simply choose your preferred
function from the pop-up list in the upper-right hand corner of the
screen.	Your preferences and last-entered data and drawings are
	saved.

	Ohm 4-band version 2.0 and Ohm 5-band version 1.0
	-------------------------------------------------

Ohm is a simple program used to calculate resistor values from 4-band
and 5-band color codes and vice versa. The only difference between the
4-band (5% tolerance resistors) and 5-band codes (1% tolerance resistors)
is that there is an extra digit before the multiplier in the 5-band.

To convert color to value, simply select the first, second, third (and
fourth if applicable) using the pop-up lists. The value will automatically
	be calculated.

To convert value to color, write the resistance value in the "Value" field
and select the units from the adjacent pop-up list. The colors will
	automatically be calculated.

Resistance values can range from 10 ohm to 99 meg ohm for 4-band, and
100 ohm to 999 meg ohm for 5-band. No floating point (decimal point)
support at this time. All entered values are rounded down.

By tapping the menu silk-screen button within either Ohm function will
give you a selection of a quick reference guide, Ohm help, registration
information, and a list of standard (common, off-the-shelf) 1% and 5%
	resistor values.

Version 1.0 of our Ohm application was rated 4.5 out of 5 planes by
	PilotZone (www.pilotzone.com)!

	ChangeLog:
        Version 2.0:
        - Code cleanup/restructuring
	- On-the-fly calcluations
	- Saves current preferences/data
	- Clipboard functions
	- Added list of standard 1% and 5% resistor values

	Cap version 2.0
	---------------

Cap is a program used to convert capacitor IEC markings to a true capacitor
value and vice versa. IEC is a 3-digit code and the most commonly used to
	mark ceramic-type capacitors.

To convert a capacitor value to an IEC code marking, write the capacitance
value in the "Value" field and select the units. The marking value will
	automatically be calculated.

To convert the markings to value, simply write the 3-digit IEC code in the
"Markings" field and tap on the field. The capacitor value and corresponding
	units will automatically be calculated.

IEC Code markings can range from 100 (10pF) to 999 (99000uF). No floating
point (decimal point) support at this time.

By tapping the menu silk-screen button within the Cap function will
give you a selection of a quick reference guide, Cap help, or registration
	information.

	ChangeLog:
        Version 2.0:
        - Code cleanup/restructuring
	- On-the-fly calculations
	- Saves current preferences/data
	- Clipboard functions

	Doodle version 1.0
	------------------

Doodle is a simple scratchpad embedded into the EEToolkit. It can be used
for note taking, quick schematic sketches, etc. The single sheet's contents
	are saved.

To draw, tap the "Draw" pushbutton.
To erase, tap the "Erase" pushbutton.
To clear the screen, tap the "Clear" button.

Registration Information:
EEToolkit is a shareware application. The unregistered version is not
crippled in any way, and will allow a 14-day trial period. After 14 days,
you must register this software. Registered users will receive all future
        updates at no cost.

Registration costs only $20 and can be done through the PalmPilotGear H.Q.
	web site (www.pilotgear.com or www2.viaweb.com/pilotgearsw/granddesign.html
or by calling PalmPilotGear H.Q. at 817-461-3480 or 817-461-3482 (Fax).
