i was going to write something about the Sauna pack, that was released
earlier this year, but i was caught by suprise when i read at ArakNet
that Fuel group is disbanded :( it's a very sad thing for the whole bbs
and ansi scene, cause Fuel, was one of the last and "big" (not by size)
groups that still drew ANSI stuff.

i found the info below, from one of their packs...

Welcome to another quality release of FUEL.

i don't know the story behind this and even if i am curious to learn,
the whats and whys on how this decision was taken... honestly i don't
care and i don't want to know. i am sure that either something happened
between the members or had something to do with the fact, that we are
getting older, we don't have much time to do ansi/bbs stuff etc. either
way, the fact is that a great group like Fuel is no more!

immediately after the dismantle of Fuel, a new ansi group appeared, which
leads me to some conclusions of my own. i don't know if this new group is
formed by previous members of Fuel. i hope it does, just for the sake of
ANSI art in general. even if most members of Fuel, are part of this new
group, i don't think that it will be the same.

i really like Fuel packs and i always waited for a new one to come out.
each pack has unique pieces of art, that in my personal opinion are more
"oldschool", in compare with packs of other groups. lately ANSI art
became more about the ART and not about the scene and the BBSes, but Fuel,
IMHO was keeping that feeling. also Fuel was one of the groups, that had
the most nude pieces, which was another reason why i was waiting each
    pack :) hahaahaha

so reading the following short sentence in Fuel's website at
    https://fuel.wtf/ was very disappointing...

    """
FUEL was an ANSI artscene group active between 1995-1998 and 2017-2019.
Our packs can be seen here*
                                                                          """

shutting down a group, usually results in other groups to appear, from
members of that group. i hope that the same thing will happen also here
and from the "ashes" of FUEL, we may see more groups coming out and even
being more competitive with each other. who knows :?

but even if this happens, the "loss" of such a great group is big,
specially in a time that bbs/ansi etc. are on their decline. we can't
afford to loose people from this hobby of ours.
