SPIN has a large following and is, with 5 years of age, a mature language and tool. It nevertheless keeps on evolving, both in scope and in quality. We want to bring together both researchers who are interested in extending SPIN and practitioners who use it in their daily work. Reports on extensions and use are thus equally interesting. Overall, we want all participants to contribute to the exchange. Note that this event is not sponsored by either FORTE or IFIP. \smallskip \noindent The following presentation/discussion themes have been identified so far: \begin{itemize} \item recent extensions of PROMELA/SPIN, \item experimental and theoretical extensions suitable for PROMELA/SPIN, \item applications of PROMELA/SPIN, \item applications of SPIN ``core technology'' in other types of verification. \end{itemize} Suggestions for other themes are welcome. \smallskip \noindent People interested in participating are invited to either submit an abstract or an extended abstract (4 pages+) if they want to make a presentation or to send a position statement (1--2 pages) to summarize their interest and experience with SPIN. \noindent All contributions shall be made available on the SPIN repository before the workshop. \noindent {\bf Administrativia~:} All submissions (as well as requests for information) must be sent by e-mail before August 31st, 1995 to: \nl \begin{center} \sf Jean-Charles Gr\'egoire\\ INRS-t\'el\'ecommunications\\ gregoire@inrs-telecom.uquebec.ca\\ \end{center} \noindent {\bf Registration~fees:} to be determined - it will depend on the location of the workshop and on the number of participants. We just want to cover expenses, that is, possibly transportation from downtown and a meal. \noindent {\bf Local arrangements and further information:} We assume that most people will also come for FORTE and book their hotel accordingly. Help to locate accommodations could however be provided if necessary. \noindent {\bf Location:} to be determined, but most likely at INRS-T\'el\'ecommunications. \noindent {\bf Participations announced so far:} \begin{center} \begin{tabular}{ll} M.~Ferguson (INRS-T\'el\'ecom) & P.~Godefroid (AT\&T Bell Labs) \\ J-Ch.~Gr\'egoire (INRS-T\'el\'ecom) & G.~Holzmann (AT\&T Bell Labs) \\ B.~Johnston (INRS-T\'el\'ecom) & F.J.~Lin (Bellcore) \\ D.~Peled (AT\&T Bell Labs) & M.
