This is a warning about refer on lookbib on some Unix systems. Recently, I have tried searching upon keywords which may have large entries. This sometimes exceeds the normal limits of refer. There are two ways of handling this: NOTE: problems with lookbib force me to remove the lookbib hash tables. Do not use the bibliography with the lookbib program without first modifying the lookbib program or breaking this bibliography into smaller parts and indexing upon those parts. You can see for yourself if you search a common word like "survey" or "parallel" and note that you do not get the entire bibliography scanned since it is alphabetic by author. 1) modify refer to take more words, this is a problems for small address space machines 2) break the bibliography into smaller sections, index the bibliography using a tool like indxbib and search the parts. This problem will persist until we come up with a better organization of files. --eugene miya .
