Dear 
 
Please find enclosed a 9-track tape created 1600 bpi., in EBCDIC
format, 80 characters per card, and 40 cards per block. The 
tape has three files;
The first file is a README file.
The second file contains a program and subroutines to measure timing for
the modified EISPACK routines for reducing a symemtric matrix to tridiagonal
form.
The third file is the code for finding the eigenvalues of a symmetric
tridiagonal matrix.

These programs are in the public domain and can be freely used and
distributed.
