Game Over comes across well with a tight, professional layout.
Backgrounds are a basic navy blue. All the angles are right. For a
magazine created as a store ad, Game Over delivers with some of Europe's
best in full color. Although some of the connectors don't quite line
up, the magazine is nearly flawless. Broken English translations
share type space for those of us who are less versed in the ways of
Spanish.

Graffiti Attack is one of the only magazines to chronicle the South
American graffiti scene, and it does so admirably. Besides many
exclusive and intriguing photos of the evolving scenes in Brazil,
Chile, and Argentina, there are graffiti how-to's and reports on
graffiti events. Top writers from outside South America are also
well-represented. While Graffiti Attack is professionally done, it
could benefit from an improved layout and more pages per issue. Also,
while the photos are crisp, some are too small and force the reader to
squint.

issue contained an interview with Shone, the Norway Scene,

Graphic Violence is a zine which would be better if it was in full
color and cut down on ads. As it stands, the magazine has very high
quality flicks of super pieces, many of which would benefit
immeasurably from full color. While the magazine features the
east coast scene almost exclusively, NYC and Danbury are enough to
make just about any writer jealous.

nice place to keep current of the goings on across the big drink.

This is a b&w magazine out of the Bay Area, and like anything
graffiti-related from San Francisco, it's top-notch. The issue
reviewed had an interview with Mr. Element, a comic strip (which
could have been spared), and a slew of pictures from around town --
for those somehow out of touch with San Francisco styles, it's
getting pretty crazy! The main problems with the zine are length
and lack of color. While it was well worth the $2.50, this reviewer
would gladly pay $5.00 for full color.

Hype Magazine is Australia's premiere graff magazine, and a pretty
good one at that. Hype features lots of flicks from the Australian
graff scene which, if you haven't seen yet, is excellent. While it
may take a little while getting used to Australian style, there's so
much of it you're bound to find some writer whose style agrees with
you. Hype's layout is attractive, although it is occasionally
overchaotic. Along with photos, Hype also includes a number of
interesting interviews with top writers and crews and articles. Along
with the graffiti, expect a small amount of bboy and hip-hop music
information.

With loads of wall and train business, the only stupid thing about
this zine is its name. Jam packed with mainly Dutch and North
European photos, but with work from around the planet included as
well, this magazine had only two articles -- And they were squeezed
in around the photos -- definitely one for those that like eye
candy. The only disappointment was that many photos were in black

rich and glossy.

Klip Art was born and raised
in Chicago, Illinois. Only 2 years old, this little miracle is sold in most
local record stores. It all started July 1995, in a studio apartment near
Lake Shore Drive. Three young artist decided to create a graffiti magazine.
As they sat in this apartment trying to conjure up an idea, one of them
thought of putting actual reprints of photos because it was common sense
to own photos instead of full color prints. The name Klip Art describes
itself. One of its unique traits is that it opens backwards and holds pieces
of art from the beginning to the end. Most of the art is graffiti, all
around the world, from freights to transit trains to walls. Enclosed in
this J&J Incorporated publication, are interviews of music artists,
breakdancers, and graffiti artists.
