To use the patch type "patch < patchfile" when in the source
directory.  

Recompile.

Reinstall.

The add entries like the following to your ftpaccess file.

# Virtual Servers
virtual 111.111.111.111 /ftp2 /ftp2/etc/banner.msg

Where the ip number is the ip number assigned to the virtaul domain,
where /ftp2 is the directory for the anonymous root ftp directory and
where /ftp2/etc/banner.msg is the banner to display for this virtual server.
