This tool replaces earlier card specific configuration tools such as dagthree (1), dagfour (1) and dagsix (1) and works on all Endace cards. The tool is build using Endace' Configuration and Status API. . .SH OPTIONS . \fBdagconfig \fRaccepts different options for different cards. There are, however, options that are valid for all cards. Below is a list of generic options followed by card specific options. .SH Generic options [valid for all cards) .TP .BI "-d " DEVICE .br .ns .TP .BI "--device " DEVICE .br .ns Use the DAG device referred to by .IR DEVICE . Supported syntax includes .BR 0 ", "d0 ", " dag1 ", and " /dev/dag3 to refer to DAG cards, and .BR 0:2 ", " dag1:1 ", and " /dev/dag2:0 to refer to specific streams on cards. If no device is specified, dagconfig assumes\fB d0. . .TP .B -h .br .ns .TP .B --help .br .ns Display usage (help) information. . .TP .B -v .br .ns .TP .B --verbose .br .ns Increase output verbosity. Specifying this flag twice [as .BR "-v -v" " or " "-vv" ) will enable verbose output for the commandline option parser. This is primarily intended for debugging purposes, and can be used to verify if the parser's idea of the given commandline options is the same as yours. . .TP .B -V .br .ns .TP .BR --version .br .ns Display version information. .16 .TP .BR default .br .ns Configures the card to its default state. . .TP .BR reset .br .ns Resets the card. .TP .BR mem=x:y .br .ns Allocates \fB x \fRand \fBy \fRMB of memory to receive and send streams. . .TP .BR fcl .br .ns Enable or disable the facility loopback [FCL) capability. Used for testing, should normally be disabled. . .TP .BR eql .br .ns Enable or disable the equipment loopback [EQL) capability. Used for testing, should normally be disabled. . .TP .BR slen=[x] .br .ns Sets the number of bytes \fBx \fRto capture from each packet. The snap length applies to the packet as seen on the wire, and thus excludes the ERF header. . .TP .BR [no]varlen .br .ns Sets variable length or fixed length capture. If disabled (i.e. fixed length capture is set) ERF records produced are padded up to the number of bytes specified by the snaplen attribute. . .TP .BR [dis|e]nablea .br .ns Enable or disable port A. This option is not available under all firmware images. . .TP .BR [dis|e]nableb .br .ns Enable or disable port B. . q .SH Card specific options .SH dag70ge .TP .BR [no]align64 .br .ns Sets 32-bit or 64-bit alignment of the received ERF records. When this is set received ERFs will be padded to the next 64-bit boundary. . .TP .BR [no]laser .br .ns Turns the laser on or off. . .TP .BR [no]nic .br .ns Enable or disable Ethernet auto-negotiation mode. By default this is disabled; the disabled mode is intended for use with optical fibre splitters, and in the disabled mode Ethernet auto-negotiation is not performed. . .TP .BR [no]sfppwr .br .ns Enable or disable optics transmit power. . .TP .BR [no]rktiopwr .br .ns Enable or disable power to a Rocket I/O. . .TP .BR terf_strip16 .br .ns Transmit ERF records after striping last 16 bits. . .TP .BR terf_strip32 .br .ns Transmit ERF records after stripping the last 32 bits. . .TP .BR noterf_strip .br .ns Transmit ERF records without stripping any trailing bits. .SH dag71s|dag50s .TP .BR rawslen=[x] \fR[only 71s) .br .ns The number of bytes \fBx \fRto capture from each RAW packet. The snap length applies to the packet as seen on the wire, and thus excludes the ERF header. . .TP .BR [no]align64 .br .ns 32-bit or 64-bit alignment of received ERF records. When this is set, received ERFs will be padded to the next 64-bit boundary. . .TP .BR head|tail .br .ns Timestamp is added to the head or tail of the ERF record. Not supported in all firmware images. . .TP .BR [dis|e]nablec .br .ns Enable or disable port C (only dag71s concatenated firmware images). . .TP .BR [dis|e]nabled .br .ns Enable or disable port D (only dag71s). . .TP .BR oc3|oc12|oc48 .br .ns Sets the line rate. . .TP .BR atm .br .ns Configures the card for ATM mode. . .TP .BR pos .br .ns Configures the card for POS mode. . .TP .BR vc3|vc4|vc4c .br .ns Virtual connection mode. . .TP .BR tu11|tu12 .br .ns Selects the tributary unit modes. . .TP .BR [no]scramble .br .ns Enable or disable SONET frame scrambling. .TP .BR [no]overlap .br .ns Share the memory hole between the receive and transmit streams. Used for inline forwarding of packets. . .TP .BR [no]laser .br .ns Configures the transmit laser to be on or off. . .TP .BR [no]sfppwr .br .ns Enable or disable optics transmit power. . .TP .BR [no]crc .br .ns Selects the CRC to use. This option is only available for concatenated firmware. . .TP .BR master|slave .br .ns Configures the card in SONET clock master or slave mode. . .TP .BR e1|e1_unframed|e1_crc|t1|t1_unframed|t1_esf|t1_sf .br .ns Selects the line type. . .TP .BR terf_strip16 .br .ns Transmit ERF records after stripping the last 16 bits. . .TP .BR terf_strip32 .br .ns Transmit ERF records after stripping the last 32 bits. . .TP .BR noterf_strip .br .ns Transmit ERF records without stripping any trailing bits. . .TP .BR -c " channel_file .br .ns Configures the channels as specified in the channel_file. Please see Endace' card user manual for more details. . .SH dag62se .TP .BR pos .br .ns Configures the card for POS mode. . .TP .BR [no]pscramble .br .ns Enable or disable payload scrambling for a concatenated POS demapper . .TP .BR [w|l)an .br .ns Selects between Ethernet WAN or LAN. . .TP .BR raw .br .ns Captures traffic in RAW mode. . .TP .BR [no]crc .br .ns Enables/Disable CRC. . .TP .BR [no]pmin .br .ns Enable or disable discarding of packets shorter than minimum packet length. . .TP .BR [no]pmax .br .ns Enable or disable discarding of packets shorter than maximum packet length. . .TP .BR short=[x] .br .ns Sets the minmum packet length to x bytes. . .TP .BR long=[x] .br .ns Sets the maximum packet length to x bytes. .SH dag37d .TP .BR atm|hdlc .br .ns Configures the card for ATM or HDLC mode. . .TP .BR [no]descramble .br .ns Enable or disable receive cell descrambling. . .TP .BR [no]rx_monitor .br .ns Enable or disable RX Monitoring . .TP .B ds3_m23|ds3_m23_ff|ds3_m23_ef|ds3_m23_if|ds3_cbit|ds3_cbit_ff|ds3_cbit_ef|ds3_cbit_if .br .ns Framing modes. .SH dag82x .TP .BR [no]overlap .br .ns Share the memory hole between the receive and transmit streams. Used for inline forwarding of packets. . .TP .BR [no]drop .br .ns Tells the card where to drop packets and is generally used with hlb images.
