       @Nonilex "When citizens must think twice about criticizing or opposing". To remind you: Adolf Hitler was also elected. After being elected he abolished democracy. Also only pro-government judges were allowwed (in democracy a judge verdicts by the actual law, regardless of anyone's status). Compare this with U.S. today: the regime ignores judges and puts people in jail without a verdict. My judgement: it's time to resist, help people in hiding, make a true news network, underground raiways.

       @Nonilex I'm sorry to tell you this: The U.S. no longer has a government but a 'regime'. Arrest without warrant or indictment, sometimes by officers without uniform, ignoring judge's decisions: these are the illegal methods used by dictators. Also harrasment of opponents in the street belongs to their tactics. Who's tactics? https://encyclopedia.ushmm.org/content/en/article/nazi-political-violence-in-1933 So be warned!
