       @john I’m having hard time wrapping my head around it - Tumblr is centralized—does it mean they’d open it up and make it federated? Otherwise, they’d be like, say, Gmail, right? They will be able to exchange messages with Mastodon, but would remain centrally controlled. Flickr too. So, beside cross-communications, what are other benefits of it all?
