       @stux The entire point of federated networks and ActiviyPub is to allow for interoperability. Preemtively blocking a new platform, based solely on the corporation behind it, is completely against that spirit in my opinion.Observe first, then decide. No need to fearmonger, everyone...

       @charadon yes. Even if you're the kind of person that thinks security concerns are for nerds, everyone should be able to agree on JS being overused today. I yearn for the days where SSR was pretty much the norm. Yes, modern applications are more powerful in terms of interaction, but there's gotta be a balance.(See Reddit's old versus new UI. They've built a super sluggish interface for a website that really doesn't need a lot of non-standard user interaction.)

       @Durff @thesiswhisperer baffled there're still sane  people out there actively using the site. Left the moment the rat took over. Not trying to diss those leaving late, but... what version of the birdsite were y'all using the past 10 months that wasn't reason enough to leave already?
