Our reporting (my reporting) on the ADF's apparent commissioned hit on WPATH's SOC was directly successful at drawing attention from the relevant groups that are able to act on all of this, and that's who I have in the room every day now

I've had three good days this week and that's in the context of me having had a traumatic, PTSD-causing near-death experience in September 2022 that caused me to need to switch my antidepressants in December, and it took until March before adding Wellbutrin started to work after a month and a half, and I know I'm still on that ramp up and not all the way there yetBut I had three days this week where things actually caused me to feel pure happiness for moments in ways I haven't felt in not just a while, but *ever*

Review of our significant research into anti-trans hate groups now active in Florida executive agencies, 2022-2023:Florida AHCA paid thousands to Andre Van Mol of the hate group American College of Pediatricians to help ghostwrite their Medicaid trans care coverage exclusion; he copied nearly all of his sources from a document he appears to have written for internal use by the hate group at least four months earlier. Florida AHCA's chief litigation counsel Andrew T. Sheeran was reaching out to anti-gay conversion therapy advocates and providers, including Quentin Van Meter and Miriam Grossman working with the American College of Pediatricians hate group, at least a week before the release of the Florida Department of Health's April 20, 2022 anti-trans "guidance".This was part of a "Policy Pathway" plan that was actually put in writing in the form of a chart, starting with "Surgeon General Issues Guidance on Gender Dysphoria", and ending in "AHCA Contract Amendments/Care Effectively Banned". Quentin Van Meter was the first of AHCA's hired anti-trans experts we profiled. He was the president of the American College of Pediatricians hate group and has served in their leadership for 15 years. From 2016 onward he's become a prominent anti-trans expert witness in court cases on trans rights. In deposition, he admitted that calling gender-affirming care "child abuse" is just a "flashy term" used to "catch attention". He believes gay people will stop being gay, and trans people will stop being trans, if they are treated for "depression and anxiety". Quentin Van Meter is also a member of the far-right Catholic Medical Association which believes being gay is "preventable and treatable". The CMA's executive director previously stated in a November 2021 declaration that their members have religious objections to "Saying in their professional opinions that these gender intervention procedures are the standard of care, are safe, are beneficial, are not experimental, or should otherwise be recommended", and that "The objectionable practices violate the teachings of the Church, and our organization’s members cannot carry them out in good conscience."As a CMA member, Quentin Van Meter would hold that religious precommitment with an outside organization at the time he was offering his professional opinion to AHCA for their anti-trans "professional medical standards" in May-June 2022. He did not recuse himself and he did not disclose this clearly applicable prior commitment. Patrick Lappert, another AHCA expert report writer, is also a member of CMA, and expert report writer G. The ADF sought to develop a number of anti-trans expert witnesses for legal cases against trans rights and healthcare.
