The whole thing makes me very sad. I started that subreddit over a decade ago, and for a few months only myself and a couple friends I made mods posted anything there. Now it has over a thousand users and receives new posts almost every day. It will be hard to watch it, along with the rest of Reddit slowly die and become a shadow of its former self

@futurebird if you know what the goals of the different accelerationist factions are, the "stupidity" is unfortunately very much part of their plan. They want more war because half of them think they are bringing about the biblical end times. As while the other half want societal structures to crumble so they can rebuild it in an even shittier version that they control

@pluralistic I've complained to you about it a couple times last year too. You really are the only person on the whole platform using Long Threads like it's still 2015 Twitter here. I had to add a filter to make following you bearable.At very least you could mark the replies as Unlisted

@matty @pluralistic even with the filters on your feed it still gets clogged up with the over posting. I scroll past an entire page or two everyday from him, and only him. A single toot with a link to the full text on his blog should be plenty. This is a poor user behavior that has held over from old Twitter when people would try to shoehorn long form content into their micro blog. It really does feel like platform abuse
