@tuxcrafting languages where the begin is implicitly part of the control structure (if x ... end vs if x begin ... end) often have shitty editor support because plugin writers are lazy as fuck(otherwise I agree with you)

@jk an Esteemed, Award-Winning composer once taught me:- major sevenths are fucking cheesy- stop tonicizing pitches when you're not coming in for a landing- stop adding a diatonic third to every chord- stop adding a minor third to every chord- stop adding a triad in first inversion to every chord- stop adding a triad in root position to every chord- we all know counterpoint is dead. but it's a bad sign if you're getting parallel fifths for solely probabilistic reasons

@ebel @rain @h i really think most of the problem is that the copyright term is so long -- up to 120 years, maybe longer for an exceptionally long-lived author.i would probably tolerate even the current draconian policy if the limit were five years or less. but as it stands it's basically impossible to reuse a work within the author's lifetime without the threat of being sued. works increasingly exist in the form of intellectual property only. at least physical artifacts can be resold.
