@SuperDicq @Moon @trishuna @kaia @meso while i don't think they are directly linked, they are probably correlated... porn and overall sexualized imagery likely makes some people want to be seen in this "visually pleasing" way too, which in turn makes them more vulnarable to online predators...though take that with a grain of salt, i have no source for this...also i think the answer to this would be proper sex ed & online behavior ed rather than blocking porn

@debonairetoast @SallyStrange also worth noting that in france right now, protesters are getting beaten up too. police forces are using things considered as war weapons on protestors. people are getting hurt, and policemen aren't getting charged cuz they don't wear their identification plates. i saw somewhere that ~50% of the french population would like to protest, but doesn't to avoid injuries, etc...

what's a good email provider? don't really care about specific features, just need something i can sync with thunderbird reliably without too much headache... free would be prefered, but willing to spend a bit for a good working service!

@lore honestly, i'm just so done with corporate coding that like, yeah, whatever, use your gpt language model things, i don't care, i want to have fun, and will continue writing my uNsAfE c code in vim. using those modern tools is not fun to me, if it is to anyone, good. if anyone can earn money from it and they like it, good. just don't ever prevent me from having fun in my own ways

@jeff @GNUxeava i think you can actually use x window managers on wayland if you use a compositor like labwc with good xwayland support. but then you also have to only use x programs…also you can just run xwayland in rootfull mode and run your regular x set up, but you get tearfree stuff easily ^_^
