@billjings @rjrjr Leave clean dishes in dishwasher after running. Take clean dishes out of clean washer, use, place into dirty washer. When full, repeat. Don’t need to put dishes away unless something disrupts the usual rate of use of dishes.

@billjings @rjrjr of course, this requires getting a second dishwasher, and a second clothes dryer, which I can’t do in my apartment, which is why I’m only thinking about it

Question about documenting fun interfaces in Kotlin, or really any SAM type. Since the type and its SAM represent the same thing, 1:1, where should the main kdoc go?I'm talking about primary discussion about the purpose of the type/function, description of its behavior, contract, etc. The other option can still have a little kdoc linking to the primary docs or something. Please boost for reach!#Kotlin #AndroidDev

How am I just finding out about this setting now? It makes the entire system feel so much snappier.

:happyBirthday: 1 year (and 2 days) ago, androiddev.social was born.A bunch of us had been talking about the need for a place to have Android community discussions if Twitter died. Our fearless leader @friendlymike blazed ahead, got the domain, & set up this instance. We all signed up, some of us donated to cover fees, & the rest is history :androidDance:Mastodon isn’t perfect & we’re still growing, but I love this place & am glad to be here with y’all :blobUwu:#AndroidDev #Mastoversary

Hey fellow Android devs! A couple Mastodon tips: When posting about Android development, include the #AndroidDev hashtag. Mastodon doesn’t have a fancy mind-reading algorithm, so this helps people find stuff they’re looking for. This even works across instances! And if you’re looking for Android dev content, you can actually follow the #AndroidDev hashtag itself! Then you’ll automatically get any tagged posts on your timeline, from any federated instances.#Android #AndroidProgramming

If you don’t want to clutter your post, place the tags on a new line at the bottom of your post. Some clients (including the official web one) will move that line under any link previews or attached media and make them less visually prominent. They’re still there, for searching and indexing, but out of the way for people who’ve already found it and just want to read. For an example, I added some additional hashtags to the bottom of the post above. The web client renders them like this:

You’ll also need to set visibility to Public, but that’s the default.

PSA from androiddev.social admins: As threads.net begins to test fediverse integration, we have no intention to defederate from them. Enjoy that celebrity cOnTeNt, if that's your thing! If you don't want to interact with Threads, you can always block the entire domain (as anyone can, on any instance).#mastodon #fediverse #threads #meta

@index I love the friendly competition with @threads. If there were an Olympics of building fediverse integration, I would watch it.
