I can follow anyone on the fediverse, but there are no notifications that they were followed by a Flipboard account.Maybe if a fediverse account is not sending the proper Atom feed, Flipboard won't be able to “follow it” if the Flipboard account is not yet federated.

I have catodon.social added in my account.However, the thing with third-party use is they mainly support the Mastodon API (which is not ActivityPub), so if a non-Mastodon software implemented it as well, it should work… like in catodon.social and a few other forks of popular fediverse software.Back to Fedica, I added my catodon.social account through the Mastodon button. (It's similar with brid.gy, I can use my catodon.social account through the Mastodon path.)

The other thing that the #Guppe incident showed us is that the #Fediverse seriously needs the #Nomadic protocol.Let's say the Fediverse understands the protocol: just move to a new domain, inform all instances "this is the new domain, automatically re-subscribe please", done. Life goes on for regular people.I am not saying it is that easy or that's how exactly it will work. But it could've been avoided. Right now, entire communities are gone, many who were relying on it are now disconnected.
