@riceYou assume that you can actually change something from within a specific country. Which isn't necessarily the case. Think of autocratic or corrupt governements. You often have to choose wether you want to go to jail or do nothing. But even in democracy it might impossible to change things, if the majority is against it.

@riceBut where does 'political' end?E.g. there is a governement Passung a law that is selling all farmland to a company which is growing plants for industry production, making food so extensive in the country, people have to migrate or starve. Similar cases can be seen all over africa. Are these people political migrants? Can these people change their corrupt governements supported by international corporations?

@riceIt's more like i don't believe these cases exist. For eastern europe, you can find lots of explanations: war in Ukraine, autocratic government in Poland, corruption in Romania and the threat of russia maybe conquering the baltic states when done with Ukraine...Having visited some of these lovely countries, i would never want to live there permanently as of the political insecurities.

@rixx mit einer dubiosen Windows-Software von LG konnte ich mal ein gebrauchtes G5 mithilfe eines Images aus dem Netz wieder auf den Werkszustand zurück flashen, ohne dass ich ins TWRP rein musste. Dann konnte ich den OEM Unlock erneut versuchen und dieses mal klappte es dann. Danach habe ich Lineage drauf gespielt. Vielleicht findet sich so ein Image/Tool auch für dein Gerät.

@bleeptrack the only reason to go there is either getting into research or training your brains stamina.It's just that for some jobs, you need the degree. However, if you do not focus on studying too hard and use all the opportunities outside of university you can take a lot with you. And you get access to great resources for learning things your interested in. It is mostly about studying for yourself and taking things into your own hands, if you want to have fun studying.

I have been thinking about something: as #article11 of the new #eu #copyright law is targeted to kill smaller and local newspapers and grant big companies like Springer more control over news in general, would it be possible to piss them off by creating an aggregator that only takes news from the smaller and local ones, with easy registration and without giving them money, but refusing to display Springer etc. ? I'd like to read your thoughts, dear fediverse.

Keeping sources closed, restricting users and locking them in has granted Microsoft power and money they never would have "earned" if they would have opened their code. Maybe #FOSS is not contradicting #profit, but some business models are hostile to open source.

I just discovered another instance promoting verbal violence (or rahter stating "words are not violence" and being "against harassment" at the same time).Since i do not think that blocking instances from #federation is a good way of dealing with this kind of harmful statements, what do you think about a crowd sourced website/api/browser plugin, that attaches warnings about the specific problems of an instance to their posts? This way filterbubbles can be avoided as well as negative influence.
