Human nature is as complex as it is malleable, and its expression under capitalism is not more authentic or complete than anything else. Besides, markets and competition can exist without capital. We actively make the world around us, and we can make it differently if we choose to.

       @MarkRuffalo I really dislike the way AI companies operate, but at the same time I can’t pretend copyright law is suddenly good. It actually really sucks in many ways and there’s something perverse about turning intellectual achievement into “property”. I’m fine with some protections for living authors, but these rights should be non-transferable and should expire on death so corps can’t just hoard rights to everything and then rent it out or straight up block people from interacting with it.

       @jeff @Mlobbes your country is fucked unless you do something about inequality. Increasing wages to catch up with the inflated asset prices (pumped up by the rich who are lazy and park money in property and stocks) is one way, taxing wealth is another. Preventing wages from increasing will do fuck all since you’re already on a trajectory towards collapse from excessive wealth hoarding. It’s the same here in Europe.
