So, I was browsing through my email archives and aerc crashed on one of the messages.Next attempt with debugging equipment didn't reproduce the crash. It might be (1) some low level C bug or (2) parser behaving weirdly.

@josias I haven't read the code of any other C++ programs/libraries. With Waybar I can confirm code is full of footguns, black magic and 0 documentation.

@metalune @fedops @taamas @bbbhltz In case anyone is interested: https://git.sr.ht/~yerinalexey/dotfiles/tree/master/item/qutebrowser/config.py#L85-136,143-144Note: if you allow JS for a specific site like this, it will still not block third-party stuff (but that's where Adblock should take place). I've heard that there's uMatrix-like "plugin" for qutebrowser but I haven't tried it.

Next time you need to add a newline to a string in shell script, don't use \n. It emits two literal characters: '\' and 'n' (at least in dash).Instead, you can write a newline in a string directly or use it as a variable for cleaner code:CR=""#notetoself #shell

@metalune No, I'm on Artix right now and pkg_add is my in-house AUR helper. On Alpine you would do `doas apk add tut`
