@Maiko_1820 I feel this, I think I'm only not chronically depressed because I ditched Facebook before my kid was born and got off Instagram a couple of years ago. I'm not a homesteader/homeschooling mom, I live in a small country town and my kid isn't involved in the sports because of the politics of youth sports in small towns, he suffers because of social media addicted parents. Parenting is hard and if your kids are healthy and thriving, you're doing your job as a parent. Just my two cents.

@Maiko_1820 Was also going to say that when I was seeing a psychologist a while back for mild depression (dysthymia), he told me that if you put on shit colored glasses, the world is going to look shitty. Don't put on pink Pollyanna glasses because the world isn't shiny, pink and happy, but just sometimes you just need to wipe the shit off and put your glasses back on. It's so easy to fall into the comparison trap, you do you and everyone else can eat a dick. Sometimes it's easy sometimes not.

@BlueDouche @neanderthalsnavel Worked at a grocery store many years ago, we got counterfeit $5 and $10 bills once or twice. I personally never saw a large bill, but I'm sure it happened.

These guys have been sitting around not quite finished for months. I have a problem with finishing the things I start and cutting felt pieces for their little faces is torture similar to pulling my fingernails off. But here are Scorbunny and Raboot. Cinderace will be on the way as soon as I hit the yarn store. The kid loves them and I'm glad they're now on my FO list instead of the WIP list. #pokemon #crochet

The mom instinct is a strange and cruel mistress. Tripped over the dog earlier and instead of possibly hurting her to save myself, I went down hard to the floor. Didn't quite get rotated around to my back, so I landed on my side. I'm sore, the dog was scared she was going to get murdered, and we learned that the kid actually listened to our talks and knows to go get help when there's an accident.

Great time with good people at the NW Houston meetup last night. Possibly had a little too much liquid courage to calm my nerves and kill the pain from tripping, sorry for any crazy nonsensical ramblings. Have a sore butt and shoulder today but all is well.

The hummingbirds are here!! Filled my 30 oz feeder about 5 hours ago and it's over half empty. They'll swarm around if you stand still near the feeder. So fun and a little terrifying.
