       New instance means new introduction post, but I don’t remember what to say. Stuff I like includes #WoSo and #NWSL, #SFF, #comics, #libraries, #aikido, #LGBTQ rights and social justice in general, #cats and pretty much all other critters, and probably a lot of other nerdy stuff I’m forgetting at the moment. I want a kinder, more authentic, weirder world.

       @freemo @uspolitics We definitely need more parties. None of them should be fascist. I’d love if the implosion of the regressives reduced the pressure for “blue no matter who” and let the socialists peel away from the democratic party, opening the way for some actual lefties to join them. The remainder would be… centrists, I guess, possibly joined by the few remaining “traditional” republicans. As long as we get more options!!

       @futurebird I just saw another wonderful voice is leaving Masto because, in addition to all the reasons we love it, there’s hella nasty racism. I’ve seen this happen more than once. In addition to building forward, how do deal with good folks getting harrassed away? (I think this is Masto-specific but honestly don’t know if it’s Fedi-pervasive).

       @Nonilex Yepyep. GenAI is overall sycophantic, and willing to lie in order to be of service. When asked it will straight-up tell you that it lied, even apologize, and then do it again. Its “nature” is to do so, and apparently ours is to foolishly keep believing it.
