       @freemo That's a surprisingly large sum of money. Are you doing it all inside AWS or something like that? PS: If you're paying object storage fees, check out my recent posts on using R2 - no egress fees!

       After arguing with BGP, firewalls, and routing filters all morning, I finally have the base infrastructure built. Now to actually push the buttons and do things! Step 1 is to get everything built and installed (databases, high-availability stuff, etc) before I can even think of moving data - and moving data is the bit that takes the time! #mastodonau

       RIGHT, I think I have finished breaking stuff for tonight. Everything should be working *APART* from emails. They're explicitly and deliberately broken because that's a harder bridge to cross. Feel free to ping me if anyone notices anything wrong. If I've done this right, all the media (images, movies etc) should be coming from o.mast.au, so it'll be super fast for everyone. Scotch O'Clock? I think it is!
